Default will 15" ET49.5 wheels fit a mk1 focus (ET52) for winter tyres

Subject nearly says it all - have an 02 plate 1.6 3 door focus, can't find the owners manual for. The online version I find from ford doesn't seem to mention approved wheel sizes - but what I can gather from the web the focuses generally take 15" ET52 wheels. (it has 195/60r15 tyres)

I have been offered 4 ford steels from a Mondeo that are 15" 6J ET49.5 with winter tyres on that would be prefect for a couple of months. I see the offset is 3mm different - is this small enough to be within tolerance or is this likely to cause me issues?

Car is driven, not raced

any help appreciated

Yes that will be fine, anything between ET42 and ET52 is suitable for a focus.

What width is the original wheel? You can only compare offsets like that if both wheels are the same width. Will they clear the brakes?

if only I could find it on the alloys (or find the manual..) I might be able to let you know.

I "think" they're 6" rims but that's only from info I've found on the web. The wheels have no obvious markings on them unless it's on the inside which I can't/have no desire to get at untill the weather learns to behave

6" rim will be fine, anything off a standard mondeo won't have a problem, you can get a 9" rim in a focus arch without any bother!
