Default milage discrepancy

as my other thread bought a new van yesterday with 76000 on the clock

collected it from its mot this morning when i got home and read the cert they have put 176000 on the new mot


what can i do about this? garage said theres nothing they can do there are vosa likely to sort this?

In that case, report them to vosa for supplying you with an incorrect certificate. At the end of the day, they made the mistake so its down to them to sort it.

I'd be looking to set it off mate. They're either being lazy, or they know the van has got the 176k on it and hoping you'll go away..... either way, if you leave it, you'll be thousands out of pocket come the time you sell.

they dont no the van i bought in from a mate that lives about 100 miles away


gonna head back down there after lunch and show the manager my mot and the van and let them sort it

You need to sort it mate, or it will come up on the next hpi and could cause you all sorts of problems. There just trying it on! If they insist on being no help to you, just stick a bold tyre on the van and tell vosa they passed it with an illegal tyre!

just rang them now asked to speak to the manager he said bring the van down and show them at lunch and they will call vosa


ill let you know how i get on

pmsl @ tip ex i have seen it done

went to look at a saff 4x4 cossie years ago, advertised with full history - drove 5 hours to get there and found a shed on the drive with tip-ex in the service book felt like punching the cunt

my mot station got my mileage wrong on my last car, i went back ,they opologised and issued a new ticket. as said above their mistake,
they must be tossers tbh
