Default Mini turbo project

hey all,

peiceing together my turbo conversion for my 1995 mini mayfair and wanted to run it past some of the bods on here first....

first up, the basics.

I plan to turbo charge my mini's A+ series 1275 engine with a GT15 from a 1.7 TD astra which i shall rebuild myself before fitting.
looking for about 140 to 150 BHP at the flywheel for a quick road drivable daily

from looking at the graph i recon i should have to run about 1 bar to reach my aim and that should plop me right slap bang center of the high eficiency island, should also keep me away from the surge line in most situations, car will be on megajizz for fueling and ignition with a plenum and single TB with 2 stand-off injectors close to the inlet runners.

plan to mock up a exhaust manifoldin mild steel to site my turbo close to the block to avoid a massive cut out box in the bulkhead and have someone replicate in SS for me.

will have the inlet passing round the right hand side of the engine (looking from the front) through an intercooler and a pipe winding its way past the brake servo and alternater pack to the plenum..

quick plan of how i see it (its a picaso )

GREY AT TOP - inlet manifold
BLUE - fuel rail
RED - injectors
GREEN - boost hoses
GREY AT BOTTOM - intercooler
NOTE: you cant see the turbo in this pic but it exits with the hose on the right

no DV planed as i dont think i'll need one at around 15 psi. I want to run around 8.5-1 CR and a decent spec head to keep inlet temps low for the power i want...

any comments good/bad/ugly wanted
