just add a power cut for around an hour,now power is back on ,cant get the sky hd to work
the telly is just flickering,got on to sky ,thry telling me saturday before some one can come out to me.is there any thing i can try to get it to work

when mine stops working i take the mains lead out of the back for bout 5mins plug it back in leave for another 5 mins. works every time with mine

 

count yourself lucky they can get to you by saturday pal. the HDMI packed up on my 3 month old box and they said i would have to wait 9 days as they were busy!!!! 9 days without a service you pay top whack for.
i sent an email to the chief executive that night and someone was out to replace with a new box the day after!!
as fella said above leave off out of mains for 5 mins then power up. if still not working leave on stand by then hold the power button down till you see the lights change colour.

sounds fooked, which is bad cos now you lose your saved progs
slide the engineer a score and he may let you keep your old box, depends what company he is from

you can strip a hd box down for good money, ive stripped a few now
