Default Just bought another Jetski! (jetski fans only)

To go with my Kawasaki STX-12F (4 stroke) and a Polaris Virage 800i (2 stroke) a 2005 Seadoo RXT 215 supercharged 1500cc 4 stroke with a Riva stage 2 tune giving it 240bhp 0-60 sub 4 seconds a recorded on gps 72mph...this have all trick parts like rethnal bars strenthened and fully adjustable with finger throttle conversion, a carbon seat unit which weighs naff all compared to the std unit and many other weight saving performance enhancements apparently it will out accelerate a the seadoo 260 lastest ski...boy is this gonna be mental, gone from 125bhp to a 240bhp racer...and i still cant swimPics when i get it friday.

ok, if you cant swim, how the fuck do you get back to your jetski when you fall off??? Id imagine that will be fun in rough seas when you wake up 30m from the ski while it drifts off

Yes but maybe less adrenalin packed? I dont see why swimming is an issue its like parachuting, do you have to be able to fly to do it?

Its amazing how many people i talk to that cant swim also....lifejacket does its job...and as said ski isnt too far away depending on how fast you have turned and flung yourself off because it dug in and wasnt expecting it too quite so much Its really best to wait for your mates to stop laughing and rescue u as it apparently really fucks you swimming in the sea especially when rough...so float and relax and and be glad you cant swim so they feel obliged to rescue

The only question i have is .. where the fuck are you going to put it

nice toy tho , just keep an eye on those charger washers and dont whatever you do, do what i did on my mates brand spankers wake edition and slam it in reverse whilst moving forwards! it may be funny watching the ski sink but when they snap the arm off the pump cover thingamybob its not funny ahh fuck it , do it phil , you'l piss yourself laughing.

We havent had more than 3 inches of swell here for the past week! its so fucking boring , cant wait for it to pick up a bit.

What happened to the supercharged skis are pointless phil?
And who told you it will out accell the new 260?
I had a stage 2 or more or less stage 3 rxp and my rxpx stock shit on it when it came to accelleration.
Alot of its down to the new pump tunnels/grate designed for accell.
Its a well known fact the new x with a grate, filter and prop pitch is as fast usually fatser than stage 2 rxp/t.
Ps get pics up and have you done the usual checks on them?

exactly baba. the only time it will circulate is over the period of a complete tidal cycle of about 11 hours

a reasonable swimmer will get back within 10m in most conditions IMO. if you cant swim you cant even do that

and phil are you wearing a lifejacket designed to support your entire weight or is it just a buoyancy aid?

Mate this is a pure race ski its light! No reason to doubt an off shore racer! 25bhp less but power to weight is where its at may not be as fast too end.....

The no point to having a supercharged post was quite correct, but i was offered this for a bargain and it felt rude to say no its quicker 0 - 60 than my 600bhp merc on fucking water how could i say no?!

Chip yes wow that bhp on light weight with no wheelspin, my 125bhp kawasaki is fuck off fast to 50!!!!

Think most powerful sitdown one I have been on was about 125bhp like your old one, and that was quick, so its certainly going to be nuts with DOUBLE that power!

Its a good off-shore ski an rxt but unless turbod/heavy modified didnt keep up with rxps let alone rxp-x or t-x.And the hulls where you save weight but light weight hulls are very expensive and rare in uk.
The new x skis were designed to compete and win cc racing in basically stock form and they cleaned up and still are.
Try and get a shot on an x totally diffrent ride as pump tunnel is designed to stay stuffed more all the time and handle chop alot better.
My fast rxp was gpsd at 78.6 at a lake in dumfries after tunning and the stock p-x after intake, grate, holes filled, own re-pitch was at 74.8 iirc. But accel and midrabge much much harder than stock.
Have you had a shot of an ultra 260x yet?there amazing in the sea!!

Phil im not having a dig or that lol with what im saying but alot of people ive met have got or had "race" skis until you ride with them and see the said ski.Like the car world alot of bullshitters with claims of big hp and mods.
I got challenged to a race a guy in chop with a supposed 88mph heavy modded gp1300r and that was with an rxp and he was never even in it like comparing a saxo vtr to an escossie.

Got any pics?

I've got a Kawasaki X2 race ski I'm just tunning at the moment, just done some extensive hull mods to it like a completly new reshaped bottom and some fibreglass sponsons / tubbies

Been working on my mates Hydrospace (turbo'd) this last year

His old engine just broke the world's fastest 800cc stand up title at Coniston Water in the lake district and managed 64mph which isn't bad for a stand up, it is a tuned 180bhp though

New engine we are building has a farndon stroker crank, H rods, large bore CP pistons, headwork, hybrid turbo and is going to mapped on Autronic so should easy go over the 200bhp mark which is insane for a stand up

Never had a shot on a hydrospace but saw them racing and they certanily go well!!
I thought when they released there sit downs they would have taken off but theyve had alot of bad press like at demo days skis keep breaking down......a dealer i know went to test them in florida and said theyre a posers ski and terrible build quality for the money.

They need alot of attention thats for sure, my friend must have got through at least 6 engines over the years trying to iron out the issues with them, there based on a 4 stroke 2 cylinder big bang engine as used in snow mobiles

He's broke 2 cranks already hence the Farndon steel crank
