this is my srad
only thing i dont like is thehuge rear end, but its an old bike
the mods its getting which are all direct replacements is
2004 rear swing arm, wheel, brakes and shock
2006 upside down front forks
srad 750 tripples and yokes
r1 radial calipers
frame is going black and so are the wheels
also will be have a k3 rear tail conversion with a honda rear light (carnt remember what model at the min)
also thinking of going k5 fairings but will see once i start building teh bike back up, but it should handle and stop a lot better when ive finished, even though it handles well at the min, for a 1st bike theregreat as there cheap, so if you do come off your not going to lose a lot and its cheap to repair

not really as your looking at 3-4k upwards
the rear end has cost me £70, thats swing arm, wheel, brake, disc and shock
the front forks will be £200, yokes and tripples £100, rear seat frame £80, calipers £100
plus i can always put the std stuff back on when i come to sell and sell the after market bits

Yeah thats not too bad then really.
Still, im not sure what the srad is worth but if you add the value of that to the parts, and consider the time it will take you, i bet you wont be too far off the price of a K4 mate. You can get a decent K4 for £2500 easily, maybe less at the moment. My mate bought a nice one in the summer for £2200 which was a bargain!

yeah thats possibily true, buts its easier for me to do it in stages as i have to many projects on the go at the min, so its the sierra first, then thebike, then ill finish the escos

As a starting bike, the Cat is more than capable, plus you don't get the shite build issues that you do with shituki's and crapasakis!
Mine:
Buy it if you want! I've just done everything to it, and i mean everything!

Nothing like the R6 engine. The Cat engine is actually an uprated FZR600 lump, and is more torquey than the R6 lump, where as the R6 lump revs more.

Give me a "shituki's and crapasakis" over that raft any day of the week!
More torquey engine than R6? Who cares! The R6 will murder a thunderwank!

Quite correct! They will murder a thunder, i wasn't disputing it! And i was talking about the build quality on the other 2!
Can't be yammy for build quality imo!

Nothing wrong with the build quality of suzuki's in my opinion, but i see where your coming from. The fairings and tail section can sometimes be a bit flimsy, but i wouldnt say more so than any other jap bike. I must admit though, mines miles better after i took it apart to fit my new parts, it doesnt take much to make things fit better and 'tighter', even though its not really necessary. I have to say yamaha are no better than any other in my opinion, if not worse than suzuki. Honda are marginally better as regards build quality, but theres hardly anything in it really.
GSXR for the win i say!

V4 engined (which is a masterpiece) and they handle brilliantly, yes very crap lol
you see loads of these at club meetings as they are so much fun.
There isnt really such a thing as a crap jap bike these days, just whatever takes your eye,
but you could put a different badge on any jap 600 /1000 and most wouldnt notice the difference as they're all pretty much identical unforetunately.
