Cosworth breather setup advice
Need to sort out a breather system for my yb engined race car, and not sure which way to go with it.
the regs state I must run a 2L catchtank.
so I was thinking along the lines of a bailey seperator (breathing from both side of the block, then the the big vent on the bottom to a catch tank then to atmoshphere,
problem is do I bin the original kidney box and use that drain to the sump or keep that and weld in a new adapter next to it to drain the separator?

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Assuming you have a 4x4 sump + kidney box as the 2wd kidney box doesn't have a return to the sump iirc, i would bin off the kidney box and use the oil return from the bailey breather to that point.
GGR do an adapter that goes straight into the block where the kidney box would go so you can then run a hose straight to the breather form that.

cheers wes, I have one of these adapters on my 100E engine, they are on ebay for about a tenner ish
If I used the original drain from the kidney box off the seperator then it would save getting the sump modded and IIRC the bore size of each end of the pipes are somewhere near.
