The worst thing we could have done is broadcast it on the news and give them attention and publicity - it's exactly what they want. The media (particularly papers like the Daily Mail) always hype these huge issues out of nowhere. Believe me, if we had all ignored these nutters and got on with our lives they would be forgotton in a second.
There is no Muslim invasion of the UK, it's all an invention of the media to sell papers and attract viewers... and possibly to keep us content with having troops blown up in Afghanistan daily. This country and its people are beginning to f*ck themselves; we don't need Muslims to do it, we'll manage ourselves. Society is, or has, turned into an on the whole left-wing, lazy, stupid herd of sheep, willing to let politicians and bureaucrats ruin a once great country. Infact most of the people in this country want to ruin it, they just don't realise they're doing it.
In a few years time we will be the ones wanting to move over to places like China to have more economic and personal freedom, to be able to run a business, or even be employed by one without having to send half of what we make off to support some slimey students or some stupid bureaucrats dreaming up yet more and more positive equality legislation by the day. This country is an embarrassment and it has nothing to do with Islam.

maybe in iraq we followed america too much but afganistan is a different matter, bin ladins mob had camps set up training people to attack the west, what did you expect the west to react?, if i remember rightly muslims EXTREMISTS killed thousands of innocent people on 9/11 and the afgan war resulted on intelligence pointing to them being traced to camps in afganistan, seems a perfectly reosonable case to go in and shut the camps down, the taliban wasnt going to do it were they?

I agree with u to an extent, however its not always about money and wealth. its about power. whererever the americans have a presence, they have some sort of influence over that place.
Think about it, why do the americans seem to have an influence over most worldly affairs, iraq, palastine, georgia (Russia), korea and many other places. The americans have bases in most places around the world. to have power, you must have some sort of influence which comes from presence.

Yeah I agree with that. It's about power too - the politics of helping other countries' governments for our politicians' gain. American power is going to start to fade soon though. That link says "ACCUSED" not convicted. Ive just done another search and still cant find anything. Yes, stuff gos on, that to the normal civy isnt very nice but i have never heard of British troops raping and then, what did you say? shooting them in the head.

Now go look at the Iraqi body count which is independent and considered reasonably reliable and simple calculation shows only 2% of the deaths caused in iraq are due to coalition forces...... so muslims killing muslims happens 50 times for every 1 iraqi killed by coalition forces..
puts a bit of perspective on things. Your bleating about so called attrocities committed by allied forces yet convieniently forgetting the horrors caused by your own people against themselves which is 50 times as bad

yeah,there are so many stories like that and accustaions, its quite a coincidence none of them get convicted! have u ever spoken to iraq's who have been there and told u what was really happening, when u hear it first hand from people that have been affected directly, then maybe u may understand. I think that there is a dangerous precedent set in this thread.
I am reading a lot of western hate for the "Muslims" burning the poppy.
There is a lot of talk of deporting these people who committed this act.
Its dangerous to tar the same religious group with the same brush. Its dangerous for folks to assume that people are not proud to be British just because they are not white and believe in Allah.
There have been horrific things done by many people in history.
I believe that the people who have committed the inflammatory act by burning a poppy need to learn to respect the country that they reside in.
I also believe that there should be some gratitude to the people that have died in the crusade to stop the Nazi onslaught in Europe. One of Hitlers aims was to remove religion from society , and persecute those who believed in a higher being.
Alot of people are impressionable , and attracted to extreme views.
Islam preaches peach and tollerance. Not war and infidels.
For what its worth , I am a proud , white , non religious westerner.
I am appalled at what I saw. I just hoped I could post and impart that not everyone who is assosiated with Islam is a crook , or a terrorist in waiting.
