on my 55d there's a knocking from the rear end. I've taken a look, and it appears as if the rear leaf springs are slapping together when the suspension rises making a curious knocking sound, Any suggestions?

that sounds like what my van is doing, thought it was the exhaust at first, not had
a decent look so would be interesting if someone has had and solved this problem

On the shorter spring there should be a clamp at either end that holds the 2 together but over time they come off. Not sure if you can buy the new clamps on there own but worth giving ford a call

My knocking noises turn out to be the leaf spring bushes worn to shit if that helps,& whilst i was there i had to nip the u bolts up on the leaf spring to axle..
