just praying for no rain. im gonna turn my controller off and put it in full 4wd for tmrw just preying i dont get that wheel hop again, if i do i guess il have to drive through it and hope for the best lol

im gonna run front suspension full hard, rear full soft, try more clutch slip, 16 psi rear tyres and leave 4wd to do its thing. anything else peeps ? i would like an 11 of any sort tmrw

my mate is running 11.8's in his R33 GTR with less than 450bhp on a stage 1 tune so you should be able to run an 11 with all of that power I ran an 11.3 in my mate's R33 that I used in Time Attack

i assume your refering to cliff j on gtr forum, hes had loads of practice and altered his car for 1/4 mile at 11.76 at stage 1.

i literally drove of the street 32 psi tyres rock solid suspension it didnt even squat on launch. i didnt think i done to bad at 2.2 60ft first outing considering i fluffed it up

That's the guy but yours should be capable of the same if not better Another mate of mine Jamie Madden runs low 11's in his R32 but I can't remember what tyres that was on, slicks I think.

Cliff ran Falken 452's but he favours his 888's even though they aren't supposed to be a drag racing tyre.

32psi definitely isn't helping Cliff runs 18psi in the rears, disconnecting the rear antirollbar can help but Cliff doesn't do that, in my opinion Skylines aren't easy cars to launch though.

Don't even bother trying to tell me about terminal speeds etc, I've heard that shit many times before

I've seen the skyline boys slipping the clutch with the hand break on to bring it on boost then launching by dropping the hand break

well rain stopped play only got 2 runs done a 13.1 then a 12.9 both with 2.4 - 2.6 60ft

i was off the handbrake today one run was wheelspin and the other bogged down. next year when the sun is beaming will be better for sure for launching. i let rear tyres down but had only just let suspension right off when it rained. basically i achieved fuck all today but at least nothing broke and i did enjoy myself

its annoying as i know i can do it ive done it i just cant get it right on the day, miles of my pace again.



black run is my best so far in august on a dry day rough tarmac,

the red run was a 13.1 at 118 mph on the pod slip and the green run was a 12.9 at 118 mph on the pod slip but green run is off as i was messing with settings but its already set a best i can with 12" rollout as the red run shows on a smooth launch its within 0.1 et and 1 mph.

look at the 0 - 60 times though and the launch curve i am miles of the pace of what i can do when i get it right never mind hopefully next summer il get it right on the day.

He had the hks tourque spliter. Set it wet , 8 k on the tach and drop the clutch. Had the nismo rear diff cooler, running gears pretty strong. Don't have to worry about it holding together.

i cant see what your doing wrong my 34 gtr i used to launch at around 7500 rpm just let the clutch out and allways ran low 11s ,never was a problem ,think i was on toyo t1r,s ,gtr,s normally fly off the start line ,unless your not being aggressive enough

i have only done 1 real aggresive so far and got major front wheel hop i backed off as i thought something was going to break, ive been launching at 4 - 5k since then. i guess less mechanical sympathy is needed next year

1mm overbore, wiseco pistons, standard rods with tomei bolts, new crank, sump extension, jun oil pump, 264 9.1mm cams, ported head, gt2860-5s at 1.4 - 1.5 bar, nismo twin plate clutch. she made 460 rwhp 543 engine hp at 1.2 bar on dyno dynamics.

its in the back of my mind with revs and clutch though and i am being much more sympathetic than i was a couple of months ago with it !

That's the same sort of spec his was. Except it was a stock bottom end. So limited to 1.4 bar. Dames turbos.4" turbo back system. Apexi ecu and hks cams. Went really well. Pulled 187 mph when boost pipe popped off.
