Migweb doesnt have anything like the knowledge that is on passionford.

Even on vauxhall engines ive managed to get more detailed technical advice on here than i have on there.

Good site, nice community, just very little deep technical knowledge sadly.

Modified vauxhall turbos for big power is a pretty new game compared to playing with cossies though, so im sure that in five years time or more migweb will be catching up.

Nitrous on there is fine now, ive pretty much hammered into them all now that it doesnt fry your piston rings if used correctly, it wont make your floor fall out and it wont blow the welds on your intake manifold.

It used to be a nightmare posting about nitrous on there a year or two ago though, people like *i wont name names actaully* who know a bit about turbos but who knew nothing at all about nitrous at the time banging on trying to argue with people like me and brian who have been using it for years and got pretty good knowledge of it.

I reckon now though if you ask a nitrous question on there, you will get 80% useful answers.

PS

agreed its a bit shite lately though, just isnt anyone actually doing anything much new or interesting on there at the moment.

Think i might post some pics of block and pistons and rods in a week or two just to see if it stirs some enthusiasm, lol

Chip isnt a huge fan of Mig or the Admin

Tbh i'm kinda bored of it now, same shit comes around every few months plus the club itself has got too big for the guys who run it in their spare time.

I'm a co-ord for one of the regions and i havent got a clue who is in my region, 8 months since i last had a members list and 3 weeks since i posted in the staff room asking for an update, only Mike (the boss) had the decency to reply but that was 2 weeks ago and nothing. It aint gonna go far with that sort of attitude towards the staff

Lol, there have been a few minor problems between me and the Admin yeah.

Ive been gagged about 10 times, banned about 5, including once for about 6 months.

I must admit though, some of that genuinely was my fault, but they do take things personally too easily (me correcting them on stuff and telling them not to comment of technical things they know nothing about, like nitrous) but some of the other stuff like about one of thems mum was fair enough they got the hump about i guess.

Its a good site overall though, im sure ill always visit it at least occasionally.
Its just not as good as PF thats all.

I will always have at least one vauxhall engined car, as ive no intention of EVER selling my mini, so even if i get rid of my mid engined nova ill still have reason to use mig.
I just dont bother with helping out as much as i used to now though, if it looks liek being a big argument i just dont bother at all.

im a member on mig as well because of my vaux, its a good site but theres to many ppl on there creating arguments about pointless things,

and i agree there is'nt as much techincal info on there, but then again there is'nt alot of vaux tuners and owners going to the same level on engine specs etc as there are ford and there proberly never will be
