you need to convert the auto engine to be manual,xr4x4 flywheel and clutch, and a spigot bearing,a gearbox,a type 9 with an early 2.8 xr bellhousing or a hybrid mt box, front half 2.9 xr4x4,rear 2wd,it will go straight onto your mounts, rad piping is the same, wiring can be a bit of a pussy, you will need an injection tank and pump and fuel lines, you need to weld up the egr take off on the o/s manifold and use the egr inlet pipe for a vacuum for the servo.also, uprate the brakes to cope with the extra bhp and weight.
the saph cos front seats and doorcards will fit no problem, the rear seats are totally different and i think the doorcards may be a different shape.you prob could get the seats in with some home made brackets.

you don't need an injection tank just a pump off an old early injection car, i've always used ones off old granadas/capris/xr3is, any 2.3/2.6/2.8/2.9 manual flywheel shoud be ok, and you can mod the 24v auto bellhousing to take a t5 gearbox but not sure how its done, but i know at least one person thats had it done and it works fine.
mark_wiring on here can do the wiring by post, steve also known as cossie4i i believe can put you in touch as they are brothers.

you will need an injection tank as it has a swirl pot and the correct sized outlet for the fuel pump.without the swirl pot it will get fuel starve on corners or when the tank is low.

i wont give you the techy detail, but i'd reccomend you do it!

there are a few more steps involved as yours is a non-v6 to start with but none of it is a big drama

i've never used an injection tank, and yes if your giving it beans on some corners and the fuel is low it will cut out from time to time due to not getting fuel, but never found it to much of an issue, you could always use an external swirl pot,
mounts you just uses sierra v6 mounts

the 4wd mounts are different to the 2wd mounts, so if you fit them they won't fit or will be too long/short for what you want

remember to do the front suspension as the V6 is a bit of a porker in comparison

as for clutch/flywheel/starter options, there are loads, just use what matches the box you are fitting

there are 8 tooth and 9 tooth starters as well as 2 bolt and 3 bolt

wiring is a doddle

when i wired mine it was a pre pats system dojj so didnt have the immobiliser.when i wired it up as top boss recommended it would wind all day but when the key was released it started.it was a wire that turns from neg to pos after you stop winding.got an auto electrician to wire it up in the end.as for the tank, why convert it then not fit a £80 fuel tank?

there are several variations mate, but i agree with the tank, might as well do everyone once and properly than have to find other stuff to fix as you go along
