all the mondeo 4x4 stuff is very weak and will shit itself in no time flat. Ive sen it used in a Focus and a Fiesta before and the transfer boxes in both have since died.
If you want to stick with the transverse engine layout, why not 66have a look at EVO running gear?

yeh i was only gona run 200bhp through it max and the mondeo run 136bhp standard, like the idea of the evo running gear but if ford through and through.

why go to that bother and have a cvh run it?it will be quite a thing if done so make the most of it and use the zetec.you will need to cut the trans tunel out and make pickup points under the chassis at the back.unbolt everything from the mondy and get the welder out!

reason id like to use the cvh is ive just fully rebuilt it and like the thought of it looking standard under the bonnet.do you know if the escort rear turrets are used or the mondeos?cheers

Jamie's - It was actually a Zetec turbo with T34/throtle bodies, tubular manifold, etc etc etc.....didn't know it had actually been out and about to know how the car actually was!

Where did you see/hear of it?

my mistake i thought it was a cvh( he did show me it but it wasn't ready at the time)
alan was telling me about it 1 day when i was in,
was a good few years ago now so maybe i got it wrong but i do remember him saying it wasn't worth the cost/effort to do again
