I used some flexible vinyl paint from halfords a few years back to paint a mk3 astra dash from grey to black. Worked brilliantly, wouldn't scratch off with a finger nail or anything, would deffo recommend it!

I'm changing my saph dash to a black one, and I was going to try and paint my ecu cover with RS emblem to black to match!
Cheers shaun

used the halfords type.it is very good but is very shiney only problem i have with it is it looks a greeny grey in certain lights.the best stuff by a long way is by a firm called image.they have a ford charcoal grey then combined with their matt laquer is brillant.its sold mainly by car paint merchants and is on ebay also

I didn't find the halfords stuff too shiny, I think it depends on what you are spraying on to though, if you are painting something smooth then it will shine a lot more than painting something with some texture.
