Default core differances - roller bearing v floating oil

so is the actual core differant physically or is it just a caae of differant internals ??

also do the ball bearing type run thrust washers ? or is thrust taken up and dealt with by the bearing cases ??

strip one of those i left at your place they are roller bearing that will tell you what you want to know.

tried that but there a T2 , and ive not got any more T2 cores to check against

I am sure the core ill be different as there is no longer a need fopr a high oil flow rate and the bearing will be bigger than the standard bearings.

The core from a T3 can be used with a replacement kit which has the complete parts inside. It has no thrust type washer. The T3 core will need mods done for the kit to be able to fit. Similar to how you would oversize the std type journal bearings and shaft.

It has be done and tested, will be available for common market soon.
I will be able to test one on our cars hopefully very soon
