Default UK's Fastest FWD Cars?

I've knocked up a page to try and record the current fastest FWD cars in the uk

http://www.mitsubishi-fto.net/ukfastestfwd.htm

Can you take a look and if I'm missing any 10s or quicker FWD cars from the list please PM or email me the details, lets compile a comprehensive list and try and keep it up to date.

Also please post the link onto any forums that you vist as I know there will be fast FWD cars out there that we don't know about.

Why the need for an MoT? It's not like the cars are running in 'road spec' as some of the cars are running slicks.

When a friend was doing 11.3's FWD with drag slicks 7 years ago everyone slated him for "cheating", it's funny how the tide has turned but I'm glad people now get the respect they deserve for going as quick as they can down the strip with whatever tyres make it happen

Did I see a Hungarian fiesta with mega power in the projects section? Has that been down the strip?

Yes that Fiesta ran 9s

I agree cars with slicks should get reconition, but also think they should be put into another class and proper road cars with road tyres should be bunched together.

All the cars are road legal with valid MOT's. They run slicks because if you have ever tried to run a high powered FWD car without slicks you will know that you get wheel hop and things go snap, on normal road tyres.

Yup, I do understand that - but the point of insisting on them having an MoT implies you're judging the fastest road cars - when you're actually just listing the fastest FWD cars...

There's nothing wrong with it, so I'm not 'dissing' the site in any way - it just seems that you're blurring the distinction between road and non-road cars.

Pretty sure Andy Nichols has run like a 10.03 at 150 or similar a year or two ago. The 10.23 on his website is a very old time. He probably just hasnt updated it.
For a while he was pulling some mental terminal speeds, but just couldnt get the grip and reliability to pull off a 100% successful run.

The Civic in first place hasn't had the time put over correctly, its got the 8th mile time at 6.1 instead of 6.5.

How many are on treaded tyres. Chris S was, wonder if any of the others are.

Mk's XR2 Turbo you mean? Ran a 12.6 I believe.

Tom Scarlett's car never did anything impressive as far as I know? Could be wrong though.

Luca, Crazycage and QRST Fiesta are the quickest Fords at the moment.

And Crazycage's car is nothing like any of the others! He uses it to do a 30 mile round trip to work and back every day, and his wife uses it in the evenings! It is full on, daily driver with an ickle GT28 on it. It will go faster on the 24th of this month though...

yup the fiesta st i aided that build alot. it cracked a 12.9 @300ish hp with a full intera, crap tyres, and so much camber it puts euro look cars to shame

it pushed on to 430hp some good tyres were on order and camber was sorted but the car was involved in an accidend so no longer lives on but a new car is being built

PS I'd say they are the UK's 'quickest'. Fastest makes me think of top speed. Is there a list of those anywhere?
