of course its cool! its v cool that genuine supercar performance can be had out of Cossies still.
Me and Martin raced an Enzo on the Gumball few years back.
but we were not slagging him off afterwards and saying that he is a kiddy fiddler and robs old ladies to pay for the finance on it!!!!
and we certainly didnt 'wipe the smile' off his face! he was smiling all the time! before, during and after!
afterwards he came over, said he was amazed at Marts Escort. Asked if we were running 'Nitro' and had a little sit in it and me and mart sat in his Enzo (VERY VERY COOL!)
he thought no less of us and we thought no less of him despite him having a £750k car...
Just car enthusiasts. Like the Lambo owner probably was...
But thats not the story Dave is telling is it... which is why I piped up!

Just find it amusing how threads like this always seem to turn into a massive debate. I definately see your point (and it's almost certainly the truth in reality), but the constant moaning that some on here have to do about stuff like this does make me giggle.
Wasn't singling you or anyone else out really, just think people need to enjoy the lighter side a bit, rather than getting their calculators out to check on every tiny little thing to prove it wrong

Why couldnt Dave have just said. I had a race with a Gallardo and won...
Its so crap that just because the guy had a more expensive car then he is immediantly a cunt who was laughing at Dave, doesn't appreciate Cosworths or cars, has a huge loan, is a spotty teenager or a twat young footballer AND that he was gutted that he lost a race (if there even was one! )
bet he was a nice guy, successful in his job, who was just out for a nice drive, and was smiling at something totally different and didnt even try and race Dave!

If you honestly think the Lambo owner thinks ANY different of his car because he 'allegedly' got beat in a 'race' in heavy traffic on the M25 then you are crazy...
(I know the traffic was heavy and where dave was as he posted on facebook BEFORE the 'race' had happened)
If Dave was cruising along happily and a Saxo VTS 'raced' him and won. Do you think he would love his car any less?

if i win the lotter ill buy a murcielago,even if i won 100 million.would i care that i could have got a veyron,or a 700bhp cossie or 1000bhp supra?er......nope!you dont just buy a supercar for the speed.
but beating a gallardo in an escort is pretty cool and im sure the gallardo owner thought "blimey thats quick!" but its unlikely he went home to his million pound home, shagged his supermodel girlfriend and THEN cried about it!

Ive driven a ferrari around croft on a driving experience day a few years back. Ok it was fun to drive but i just think it would be more fun playing with more expensive cars. Ive been in the royal nail a few times with blacky when he had a play with some porsche's and some jags and it was just a good laugh when the van was pulling away from them. Super cars dont do anything for me cause i will never be able to afford one in my life time so i will stick to cars that i could own.

Swear there was a thread on here a while back, bloke in a cossie agaonst a porsche, everyone slated him for racing on a public highway!! Correct me if im wrong, but isnt Finley a child??
Surely its irresponsible racing motorbikes with a child in the car??
Fair play Dave, youve ovbiously got a fast car there, but this site is full of bummers with double standards

I like how you can post that the site is full of bummers with double standards and not get flamed for it.
I post up hilighting the irony that we have a thread about high insurance costs, alongside a thread on the same day showing sleeper cars that have not informed the dvla of engine changes, and Im the troll.
Double standards indeed.

I would never get involved in a 'race' like that unless the other suposedly quicker/superior car started it,usually the one who starts it loses due to too much aggression anyway.
Iam pretty sure a Gallardo driven properly is a beast, apparently though its just an R8 with an Italian suit on its back..

Lee does have a point. Most people who own Super Cars aren't stupid and know what a Escos is. If anything, they could have been smiling at the fact they haven't seen one in a while and thought 'Nice'.
May have beat it but i'm sure the Lambo could have been at full throttle without worrying about blowing something up

sooo true. In the UK there's a lot of jealous, bitter and twisted folk with a massive chip on their shoulder! Such people are all too happy to blame everyone else for their problems rather than take a cold hard look at themselves and take responsibility for the way their life went.
