Hey guys, i have the opputunity to do a deal on a Series 1 RS Turbo. Its been sat for a while and needs a bit of work to put it back together. Needs some welding and ideally some paint.. Its all there though and a genuine car. It will also come with some new genuine wings etc. But as i aint really checked before, whats it worth as a rough guide? Obviously no tax or test. Thanks, Andrew

so hard to value as it depends on so many things not just rust, e.g. dash, seats is all the kit and spots etc in good cond does it run gearbox ok?
at a guess i wouldnt pay more than about £1500 if it needed paint and welding as £3-£4k will get you one that only needs a little work

It runs and drives fine. All the kit is there, all the dash is there etc. Hmm What to do what to do.. Plans would be to strip it to shell and rebuild into a really nice car..

Whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Not intended as an arsey reply but one person may see it and think it's not worth the hassle for even £1k but another person may see it and think that it's worth throwing a bit of money at which could result in a nice car so they may be prepared to pay for example £1800. Also in my opinion it depends how much of the work you are able to do yourself, the more you can do the less you have to pay out to somebody else.
Not much of an answer but hopefully you get the idea.

Hi mate,as said a lot depends on how bad the car is but if it's half about,I'd think good business on an s1 would be anything below 2k?
Do you know the reg of it( pm if you prefer) as it might be one of my old ones or I may know it as were in a similar area?if so,i could possibly help you with what work etc it may have had.
I'd love another one myself, but too many projects right now!!!
