dilemma - what colour should i paint the series 1 cos ???
ok peeps ,
started prepping up parts for painting , now i want to colour match these to the exterior ,
so weve painted the engine block today in standard ford shade polaris grey wich was the original colour id planned
but i dont think i like it
it was always the plan after seeing kevs polaris escos , but frankly in the flesh it looks wayy darker that i was expecting and im not sure if it would suit the car
so , what colour should i paint it , ideally i want it grey/silver , but what shade or any other wild card colours you think may suit it ??
btw - whites out the question
so , heres the options
polaris
a bmw silver i dont know the name of , like a gunmetal silver found on 56 plates ect , looks mint in the flesh ( neighbours got one lol )
my wild card
aurails
interiors going black , so thats not an issue ,
opinions ideas ,

i used to have an e30 coupe in lachs silver. Its not bright silver but not dull grey either. Its a mix of the two and its an 80's colour. Cant put pics up of the colour though as i'm on my phone internet and dont know how lol

F*ck the paint for the time being and get the car sorted man!
But the grey/silver type colour seems to be the new black, everyone's doing it. So the question is, will it become dated rapidly?
But a series 1 in this colour would be amazing! (something bahama blue???)

If you want something different, but still Ford-based, I would go for Ice Silver on the bodywork.
It goes from this when dark
to this in daylight
and to this when the sun really hits it
I would do the engine block a sort of gun-metal grey colour, something like Sparkling Graphite
keep the top end in alloy finish and lacquer with some proper clear lacquer and highlight the detail touches like lifting arms, etc with a deep enamel gloss black
Do the body graphics either in a charcoal grey to highlight them or in a more subtle shade, like a slightly paler blue if going calmer.
Just my opinion.
