Default HDMI splitters

Another techy question for you lot.

As per my previous thread about looking into Sky HD I've now ordered it, the problem is that my tv only has 2 HDMI sockets both of which are being used by the Xbox and Pc, the Sky HD box and my DVD player could do with also being connected to the tv if this is possible ?

I've seen several on ebay, read a little on the AV forum but no doubt someone on here has got a box that I would need so just looking for some advice on what to buy as they range from £15 to hundreds.

Thanks again !

I had one, a real cheapie from Amazon I think. Was only a few quid. Just make sure you get the one that flicks between sources automatically. No need to go overboard mate.

Edit, it could also have been Asda I got it from (I know, I did say cheap).

A cheapy will probably work but could give you issues if it's line powered, you're at 1080p and it's a longish run.

Gefen do this sort of thing and have a good reputation. Give Keene Electronics a call - they'll be able to suggest a good compromise product.

don't forget that you may need an addition plug to power it up as well

Cheers Guys, not short on sockets, will look into sorting one this week though as they are coming on monday to install the HD.

Got to get a phone line installed in my room as well but quite sure I can sort that myself !

I was going to use this on my TV in my room as its only got 1 HDMI and I want to play my XBox & PS3 on HD with out any hassle.

that is a splitter, as in it looks like it's going to have one wired up to the other rather than being a proper powered splitter so you may see some signal drop

but for the price you can't really compaln
