It seems they where fitted by a pro, so I am afraid it is a bit of a pain in the *** to remove them...
Is there a special way to get rid of them?

rear window is biggest problem if you scrape it you likely to break all the elements.sometimes you can heat them up and apply soapy liquid and peel them off,as for all side windows I would simply scrape with single edged blade with care again using soapy water
If it's decent film you can just get a edge with a corner of a stanley blade or similar and peel off, rear window as said will be dodgy to do, most likely will need renewing due to broken wires.
