Wiring FIA battery kill switch
I've wired it up according to the instructions, with a resistor on the normally closed terminals, but have had a blonde moment and then thought that my XR2 is odviously running carbs so cutting the alternator won't work. So instead of taking a wire from the alternator cable to the spade connection on kill switch, do i just take a wire from the coil live wire to the spade connection on the kill switch and leave the other side connected to the resistor and earth???
Thanks
Thanks

no it wont.
the idea of the resistor is to discharge the current away from the alternator to ground and away from the engine loom.
otherwise the engine can carry on running purely on the alternator, potentially killing it, and not stopping the electrical fire etc. you are trying to put out.
remember, all the switch is doing is isolating the battery, the alternator is still connected to the main live feed to the car loom.
