Default cossy alternator problem

the other day special k noticed that my alternator bolt has decided to fall out ,so i went and bought the long bolt that went through the midle, all was good until today the battery went flat it was fine before so i have just stripped it down thought i must of disturbed the wireing ,anyway as i was checking i noticed there was a blue wire snapped i pulled back some black tape and there was a chock block which it had come out of,thought i would of been able to pull a block out of the alternator but doesnt seem so hows the wires fastend to the alternator.forgot to say the battery went flat today was just clicking it was fine before.

The blue wire is the wire from the ignition(charge) warning light, this will stop the alt from charging unless you rev to about 3500/4000 then it will kick in and start charging even with this wire off.
The blue wire is fixed simply by a pop on plug same as the std coil, +/- wires.
You need to tighten the locknut on the long bolt as well as the others once adjusted, mines rattled loose a few times, or just make your own locknut by squeezing a nut in a vice till it grips the thread of the through bolt tightly.

Exactly as he ^^ said, it's a common problem with most Fords of this era.
