Sierra Diff pre-load + Backlash
Hi all,
The pinion bearings are shot in the diff in my dad's kitcar....
Does anybody know what the pinion bearing preload and CWP backlash should be on a standard sierra 7" open diff ?

something doest quite add up with that Scorpio spec
it says set the backlash to 0.01mm
then tighten the bearing 4 notches where 4 notches = 0.16mm, in other words remove all the backlash and set it under load
Where am I misinterpreting this, its been a long day at work
