Default brakes...

I have a few questions about brakes on my rs2k which is going on track...

I have the choice of:

tarox 40 groove or new std disks... to be used with Mintex 1166 pads.

The issue is that the tarox disks are down to the last 0.5mm of thickness before they are minimum thickness (minimum is 22mm and they measure 22.5mm).

What do I use?!

Mintex 1166s are race pads and probably work better with groves to help clear glaze etc... but the tarox disks are thin and nearly dead... the std disks are well, just std and arn't going to de-glaze anything!

i woulda thought that with the disc being thinner it'll get hotter quicker and be ineffective probably better going with std new discs

Just get your hand in you pocket and get a new set of tarox disks

After all its going on the track and your going to use the brakes quite hard
