My brakes failed!
I jumped in my car this morning and reversed out, braked to put it into first, nothing. pedal to floor and i just carried on. not phased (bearing in mind i was still half asleep, and they can be shocking in the morning after a wet night) i pumped it a few times and didn't get any pedal so i pulled back onto the drive and checked the reservior, the f***ing was completley empty, i shit a brick at this point as i took it out last night for a spin to see the missus and had abit of roundabout fun on the way home in the wet, with 41 year old wipers and headlights . if i'd have come unstuck then i'd probably be typing this from hospital
I dont know if lucky is the word but i took another car to work and didn't think about it until i've just got home now. so i'll be sorting that tomorrow methinks!

Same thing happened to my MK3 Astra SRi. Parked up one night, came out in the morning and started reversing onto a busy main road (Not sensible anyway ) When I got near the edge of the pavement I put foot on the brake and nothing, went straight to the floor..... Grabbed handbrake and stopped the car. Pulled back onto the drive and checked fluid, but it was empty same as yours.
Drove it home on the handbrake. Topped fluid back up and found out the rear wheel brake cylinder had leaked all the fluid out, changed both cylinders to be safe and all was ok
