saph 4x4 front shaft lenghts?

i'm just puting the front end back on a saph 4x4 cossy,
i stripped it down at xmas, the front shafts are differant lenghts,
anybody know which 1 is for which side as i cant remember

iirc, the short one goes on the diff side,they can only go on one way anyway.

I thought the shafts were the same length

Not if it's 4x4..... shorter one goes on drivers side, longer one goes on passenger side through the speedo drive and into sump.

As said, can only go on one way.

i thought it was that
way but wanted to check before i pulled the front hubs off then felt like a tit for getting it wrong,

Just remember drivers side has a circlip on. You need to take the front diff plate off to see it.
