There is no set cheap place for insuring a Cossie. You will just need to phone around.
Price is determined by soooo many different things. Some will say HIC is cheapest others will say Adrian Flux ect ect

Personally id try HIC and Admiral first

What age are you and what kind of Cosworth?

cheers mate.

im insured with HIC at the mo, but due to an incident with
a young guy in a saph causing lots of damage,, they couldnt
give me a price, they have to ring the under writers to see if i can be insured
at all by them!!!

in 23 (will be 24 next month when i get the car)
will have 5 years no claims
and it will be a 300 ish BHP 2wd saph.

How much are you willing to pay? With those details it should be quite cheap?

Have you tried Dominion Plan? They occasionally give good quotes

well, i was expecting about 1K on insurance as being
reasonable..
(or am i being un-realistic there?)

some places are saying things like
2500-3000 which to my way of thinking is
bloody stupid!!

thanks mate,
i will keep trying as i really do want a cossie!

Yea the HIC thing fucked alot of ppl up mate, wouldnt even requote me when i needed it a while back.

Main places it seems are GreenLight who give a disc if ur a PF member, Carol Nash are supposed to be good, Dominion etc. Dont think Liv Vic will touch anyone under 25 from memory!!!

Althou to be honest your better off just ringing as many as poss, ive heard some people get good quotes with tesco but then when i tried they wanted silly money!! All varies on age, NCB, area u live etc etc.

Just another point, if your gonna have problems affording to insure if if u cant get a cheap quote you might want to think again anyway!!! Cos running them is gonna be a bottomless pit im affraid

Thats not unrealistic at all.

I paid £1900 Fully Comp on an EsCoss at 22(1YearsNoClaim)and one of my mates pay's £650 TPF&T on a Stage 1 2WD SaffCoss at 23(3Years noClaims)

So id be looking for about £700-£1100 maximum if i were you

Well as an idea i was paying £850 TPFT with HIC before the problems, insured at 24 with 4yrs NCB.

But then what mods/work the cars had will increase the costs too!!!
