Default any fiesta experts about?

on the mk7 fiesta how do you refit the nearside drive shaft? theres like a sprung circlip on the end but im stuffed if i can get the shaft back in the gearbox,theres nothing to get a hold of or to lever it back in?

same on my w reg focus 2l.

i located the shaft in the diff, pushed on the outer cv to 'compress' the shaft (gets rid of the end float in the cv and tripod joints) and with it all in line a tapped on the end with a wooden mallet to shock it enough to compress the clip. worked fine for me but to be honest would prob have been easier (less taps) with a rubber mallet!

Have you put the other end of the shaft on the hub and used the weight of the hub/strut to push it in?

Take it you've changed the engine in the MK7 like you were asking on ther other thread?

yes,its nearly there now,ive tried pushing the hub assembly /disc/strut but i still cant get it to go back in,ill have to get the hammer out tomorrow
