Just got my Iphone 4 and although i love, i hate the fact i cannot transfere files from other phones via bluetooth

Spoken to Vodafone and they said you can download an App to enable this, but which is it??

Thats one of the few things i hate about my iphone, some people argue why not just email the file(s) but then i argue that its quicker/easier to bluetooth.

I think you will find there might be an app but id be surprised if it actually works properly

There is an app called iBlueNova for bluetooth to other phones but you need to jailbreak to get it and it also costs $5.99 after the 14 day trial.

Thats the thing about the iphone. Its an awesome bit of kit that fails so miserably at the most simplest of tasks!

How do you jailbreak it and does it ruin warrenty?

 

If your running 4.0.1 you can jailbreak it by going to jailbreakme.com on your iphone, if its 4.0.2 your shit out of luck.

If you ever need to take it back to Apple for anything then just restore the phone which will wipe all traces of the jailbreak.

I moaned about it for ages, i finally got it and have never used it. Do we really use bluetooth anymore for transferring data. Cant say I do if I'm honest.
