Default broken washing machine, options please

zanussi thingy, had it for about 5 years, it's now fucked after the mrs has decided to put the bath mats in to give them a cleaning, there's loads of bits of rubber floating about inside, it don't drain, we drained in manually and now the motor sits there buzzing but no doing anything, and it still won't drain even though we've tried to put it on the drain cycle

so, how do we fix it?

and if it's not fixable, how much is a sensibly priced washing machine nowadays?

don't want to go with the all singing all dancing dyson thing as we've got one at the other house and, at £500, it wernt fucking cheap

so there is a drain motor and a normal motor yes?

we've drained it off but the drain was full of this yellow rubbery shite and i'm loath to spend money trying to fix it if it's beyond fixing, but a £25 punt ain't the end of the world, she'll just have to pay for it

ok, more disasters narrowly averted when i figure out how to take it apart

Not opened it up yet but it seems to work fine and then it stops when it needs to drain so that side of things will be looked at in the morning.

With 2 kids generating a mountain of washing everyday I don't think the mrs will be washing any more bath mats : cry:

We washed a furry rug once and the filter was blocked; un-blocked it and it was fine.
