Jules, I know - was just saying what I said earlier in th post, some people on here even with all the info just say RST 'cos it looks like one - If I got an apple and painted it oranger, it would be an orange you know - not an apple

spadge, i would deffo do what kev says. Change the wheels to venoms or 3 spokes and put a big plastic fuel cap on it
then rock in to an event and blitz them, but keep the bonnet shut!

Its got an ally fuel cap which needs replacing with a standard item already! Its also got a big fook off rev counter with shift lights sat on top of the dash

It has never been an rst or had a sunroof
Gartrac would buy a brand new shell from Ford without a sunroof and then pull the thing to pieces and re-build it! The shells are seam welded and the inner wings are triple skinned amongst other things!!!
They were then all put on Q plates just like any other track built car would be!

Spadge - Congrats on your latest purchase mate. Car looks very nice.
There will never be an end to this 'is it an RST, on the log book, engine, shell etc etc etc debate regardless whether you or I think our cars are or not. People on the internet make their own rules up...with that I say let them say whatever they want.
At the end of the day as long as your happy with what you say it is...thats what really counts.

I dont need to read all the pages because it had been featured when I was looking into it.
I even drove it so I know it was quick then and yes it has had 2/3 engine changes since then. It was 4 years ago and half the price....

think ya will find its not a erst at all mate, it never was, it was bought as a new shell with out a sunroof, its got a erst body kit on it but if i had a rs500 sticker on my cossie it wont be a rs500
the log book states what the car it, its just like a xr3i with a turbo engine, its not a erst, its a xr3i with a turbo engine
but ill still think of it as a erst
