alarm help on my mk 5:-(

Default alarm help on my mk 5:-(

hi all ive brought and fitted a alarm to my mk5 cabby,some muppet delocked it and it never had and alarm.(so no way of locking)its got central locking and my alarm sysyem has a open and close pulse,any one know what wires to attach the pulse to?and where? door possibly?

Easiest way is to just probe for lock and unlock pulse on door wires, then follow loom into kick panel area to tap in.
I would do this in preference to using other info, just in case yours is different, I'd always want to confirm anyway before joining wires so might as well just do the probing, test LIGHT works much better than digi metre for this.

Question

hi yeh i done that and think i found them,when i tap off the is a clcik in the alarm box when i touch the pulse wires on,but still no joy????

The click could be a relay, are you sure you've got the neg or pos pulse correct duration, what alarm is it.

its a cheeta pro 2 alarm,ive took the passenger side door card off and put my tester on each cable 1at a time,then locked the drivers door,and mt tsst ligght flashed as rhey closed?should it b on bdrivers side?thank u

So long as the wire colours are same each side for lock unlock doesn't matter.

Question

hi thank u for your help,ive located the 2 wires,my test lamp lights up on 1 when looks close and lights up on other when locks open,i put my 2 pulse wires on eack one(if thats right?,both ways round but no luck?if i join the 2 wires i found the locks will keep opening and closing so u guess i defo found the right ones?
