trouble with t5 box in saph
when in 5th the box makes a noise like theres wind coming through the door like a wooshing noise but in no other gear and sometimes the noise can be heard when in neutral coasting along moving the gearstick side to side. Anyone had this problem before? Cheers richy

Yes got the prob at the mo, as you say only in fifth, it's a knackered bearing in the box, mines settles after a few miles once up to temp, it's a kind of screaming noise, I had the alt off, ps pump etc as I knew from the sound it was a bearing, I too thought it was the wind noise, coming from the nearside towards the front sounded like, but then realised it was only in fifth when cold, mines getting worse though.
