Went to scotland yesterday trout fishing,lunch time i went into a chippy i didnt want the fish as im not that keen on batter,so i thought i would have the half pizza they had on offer,could not believe it when she threw it in batter and fried it lol
Its known as a "Half Pizza Crunchy" in our local chippy. My sister had one ages back, it was actually more greasy than a battered fish would have been.

i work in a chippy and if if it eadible and you can think of it weve battered it, cream eggs worked best
There is a town near to me called Corby and in the fifties/sixties loads of Scots came down to work at the steelworks and settled in the town and even now it still follows a lot of Scottish traditions. A few years ago the chippies in Corby were battering Creme Eggs and Mars bars.

Lol I remember when I was young my family were heading home (We lived in Northampton at the time, born there ) and we stopped off at a chippy on the way and I thought I would like a battered mars bar (Ahh the indestructability of youth ). I swiftly vomited
