Default probably a re-re-re post but what the hay, a rear mount turbo???

just surfing the net and came across this link for rear mount turbos?

if you cant fit it in the engine bay, then a good way to go,

theres an e60 M5 running twin turbos at the rear, the night pictures are

glowing away under the car

For larger engined cars, it is an option. It kicked off in the US due to their mental emissions laws/rules
With the kits being bolted on after all emissions related equipment, it meant they could pass all the tests easier as in a way, they arent tampering with any. Despite the fact ecu's etc get reprogammed etc lol
Just dumb american laws.

For smaller engines, you'd need to have a damned good excuse for not bolting the turbo near the engine though.

there is a guy on this sight with a ford ka fitted with a v6 he has no room under the bonnet for a turbo as you can gess lol so hes going for the rear mounted turbo option...........................good enouth excuse for me
