Default Zetec-s Rear Axle

Is there any benefits in fitting a zetec-s rear axle on a Mk3 RS1800? if so is it a straight fit? what needs doing?

No, it has additional strength ( read stiffness ) to a normal mk 5 beam. I'll bet you didnt know the mk5 z-s shell is also unique to other mk 5's as it has additional gussets/plates for stiffness and strength

Worthwhile mod IMO

Its a worthwhile mod to a Mk3 IMO. A few guys a know on another forum did it a few years back and were happy with the results. use decent new polybushes too

Its a straight fit, check my project thread and you'll see it fitted with focus rear disks.

Says in that project thread that the FRP is a straight fit, doesn't mention anything about the RS1800 though mate..
