I have a Focus RS and a 3dr cossie. Purchased Nov 08 and Oct 08 respectively
Say only 1 guy is interested(which is a high possibility in itself
) and he offers full asking, you're saying that you would not sell the car if say he was 18? "too young" in your eyes?

Why are people biased towards cosworth? Because they are iconic and the top end models that ford made.

Its impossible with less than 330bhp, im afraid the maths dont lie.
Has it proof of such Power. Charging up the road behind your mate dont give an accurate Topspeed im afraid. His Terminal also suggest Power below 300bhp so his 165 is im afraid just a claim until proven.
I like the look of the car & i wish the owner all the best in selling it.
Never make claims about your car that are not proven or you end up with the comments you see on this thread.

I pulled 160mph with 231bhp, 205/45/17's, 5th 0.76, 3.54 FD, 6000rpm... the maths indeed do not lie!
I only stopped because I ran out of road, another 5mph was easily doable

thats just the way pf is ! i see threads on here every other day with a links to add's on ebay taken the piss out cars for sale ect , some people have too much time on there hands.

Not doubting or slagging the car off but the only thing I find a bit of a concern is the 'still logged as a 1400cc' bit
if someone buys the car goes down the road and God forbid has a serious accident they will be in shit street
if you mod a car with a million horse power and lots of blingy bits ffs tell the insurance company and get the correct cover, it will save you a lot of grief and money in the long run,
if you can't afford the insurance then don't get/mod the car end of

I've been a passenger in a genuine 160+mph one and it was eye-opening Hope this car does the claimed times, might shut a few of the hole-pickers up for once...
As for the price, did a certain white Orion not sell for similar money a couple of years back?
Some people on here may hate them, but to some they are going up in value. The Ford world is full of variety, it isn't just about RS badged motors!

if your claiming your car does 165mph yet you measured it keeping pace with another car then it is totally relevant that the speedo on the pace car may have been overreading. In fact unless it had massive wheels then id put money on it overreading as most manufacturers ensure thier speedos overread slightly as its a requirement that a speedo does not underread so by making it overread with a margin you account for wear and tear over a cars projected life span.
from a purchasers point of view, 165mph is different to 150mph
if your claiming your car does 165mph yet you measured it keeping pace with another car then it is totally relevant that the speedo on the pace car may have been overreading. In fact unless it had massive wheels then id put money on it overreading as most manufacturers ensure thier speedos overread slightly as its a requirement that a speedo does not underread so by making it overread with a margin you account for wear and tear over a cars projected life span.

sorry mate but im not being optimistic about the CLAIMS the quarters are true and the top end run i was clocked at the side of mate in his saph cossie i know the clocks arent entirely accurate but i still had 500rpm left to go before i backed off so 165mph should be right give or take a couple thanks
