are the drive shafts from the st170 which has a 6 speed gear box same as a tdci with a 5 speed box?

i wouldn't have thought so mate. The st uses a getrag box and they are massive compared to others so doubt they are interchangable

how did you work that out then?? ive fitted a few 6 speed st boxes and they are the shortest fwd box on the ford sean??? they are shorter than a mk2 fiesta 4 speed!

accept my apologies then. I was always under the impression they were quite a long box and when people fitted them to rs turbo's they struggled for space
