I have never in my life seen a car go up and down as much as this

started at 39k then dropped and dropped to 30k now going up again

They're all over priced if you compare them to other RS's - I don't even think they're any rarer than a 3dr cos these days

How do you work that one out? When it was new a Saph Cossie 4x4 cost the same as a Focus RS does now, and that was 20 years ago!

Iirc I looked an e plate saph,mercury grey,cloth,totally standard about 10 years ago,mint condition and he had an original purchase recipt for just shy of Ł21000!!!!could have bought the car for Ł4k,ahh the days!!!!

When I was in ford the buys were buying those st2 focii for under Ł14k brand spanking new.

Anyway i think they are becoming very over priced - yes they are awesome and i love them as much as the next person but i think the prices have been manufactured by the owners and you being the registrar.

I've seen threads on here regarding very low mile 3dr's being valued high but people laughed. But then it's normal to value a 500 with similar mileage at Ł35-40k

FFS your digging yourself an even bigger hole

Nobody can influence car prices to rise simply because people will only pay what they want to pay no matter what anyone asked for there car

Plus , Im looking for a black 500 myself so i may just magic the prices to about 4k each until i find one

I'm sure anyone with vested interest will value them high as obviously they will be worth more in bits.

A "good" 3 door is in my opinionion just as rare as an RS500. Plus you would have money in the bank.

Before Paul took the Rs500 job , in fact a few years before he even gave it a thought i know of cars that changed hands for Ł30000 or close to it go back to 2005 this is where the prices started to rise at a mad rate ,i remember brand new splitter sell on e-bay for Ł1000,paul became registra in mid 2007.
A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
