Default Motoring news article about "the best evo in the world" (simon norris)

Good article on Simon Norris's car in the latest edition of motoring news:

There is a bit of delicous irony for ford fans in this picture though:

The stirling broadcast sponsored escort that Simon is in front of there, actually passed him and won the race, with Simon coming in second.

So even the "best evo in the world" wasnt enough to beat a fairly average escort cosworth
(Escos is a standard rear beam, a moderate spec engine, and run on a shoestring budget)

Congrats to Simon on a nice article, and congrats to Nick for winning the race

Immense car, something totally different !

I have watched some videos of it in the AAA Championship and didn't think it was running anywhere near full power, atleast the article explains that.

When its a bit more developed and Simon has had some more seat time, I suspect its going to be a force to be reckoned with.

The only thing is, I dont know if someone who has come to racing relatively late in life like Simon, can ever hope to be able to pedal it well enough to really show off its full potential like Andy Gallacher or Olly Clarke can with their cars.

Agreed, I bet its awesome fun and I would love to have a go, and I do know that although people used to slate his driving when he first started, he has come on leaps and bounds already.

As much as I find straight line stuff a bit boring at times I am really looking forward to seeing what acceleration times that car manages.

It was quite insane in the old spec and I'd imagine its a different animal now.
