transmison loss difference evo 4 and 4x4 cosworth

Default transmison loss difference evo 4 and 4x4 cosworth

if the cosworth and evo had the same flywheel bhp what would have the high bhp at the wheels

I'd say EVO, but not by a huge amount.

the cossie 4x4 will lose about 20% and the evos around 24-25% so if both had 300 hp @ wheels the evo would have more at the fly..

Bigger better gearbox and diffs etc,just known to have bigger losses same as sky buses etc..

My Escort Cos looses 80BHP through the Transmission, its 250BHP @ the Fly. So thats around 30% loss, that was on PE's rolling road.

If it helps my old Evo 5 made 365bhp @ fly and 285bhp @ wheels on the DD r/r at The Racing Line.

The power figures will also depend on whose operating it,on a DD they are a piece of piss to massage to what you want.

Very true, at one point the guy tried to make out it was 280bhp until I said it was still on the standard chip etc. Only mods were a filter & exhaust + a tad more boost.

Hows that then????a cup of tea???then will show very high inlet temps so no point!!!
If you hit the brakes on a dd rr it will stop dead and doesnt calculate roll down any way so need so id love to know how you think you can masage the power figs????
