boost / actuator / turbo / dv question lol
ok just started engine after fitting t34 with -31
reving the engine and watchin the boost gauge in car and it wasnt going over zero psi but the dv is working ????
i presumed with car stood still the act arm would move and it would boost to what the act is set at ?
is it possible to wind a act that far back that the wastegate is always open on a -31 ?
just wondering if somethings amis ?
matt

20K+ Super Poster.
the dumper will make noise even if you got like 0.00001psi so dont worry about it
set the actuator up so that half of the hole on the road is covering the bit it clips onto when its hanging loose (ie set it to that length, then clip it on) and other boost adjustments should be made on the bleed valve (ie amal valve)

The correct term to what Jim says in DIY language is to set the actuator arm to half moon over wastegate arm .....Then use amal jets to get higher boost....smaller in the middle "c" to up boost.
