Ace Cafe, tonight?

Meet Name:
Old Skool Ford (Pre '84 only) 6pm
Start Time: 18:00 PM
End Time: 23:00 PM
i know it says pre '84 only, but it sees to be full of later cars most of the time.
i heard they were trying to push off the later cars, because of the cossies etc causing trouble with burnouts and whatever at previous meets. (which imo makes it all that more interesting! but sometimes some of the drivers are quite dangerous)

What he said lol old skool ford is a club that uses the slogan 'plastic is not fantastic' they also say on their website that there is no cossies or rs turbos allowed
what the don't say is that the majority of them use cossie engines in their old fucking dinosaur cars to get the power
to me that is proper hypocritical
Never have been a fan of the ace tbh, get a lot of people driving like cocks, seen a few accident as well

I know what you mean with that Jim, some (not all, some are absolutely sound) of the 'Old Skool' lot seem to be so up there own arses, it's unreal!
I was there a couple of months back in my mates saph and we managed to get in the main car park. As we were leaving one of the 'Old Skool' crew was standing by the entrance with a few of his mates and as we went past just started shouting something along the lines of 'go on, get that plastic piece of shit out our car park!!' obviously trying to give it the billy big bollocks in front of his mates!
It's stuff like that that ruins the whole scene for me. I'm more into my cossies and rst's but I do like the older stuff aswell and appreciate the time and effort that has gone into any well built car, new or old.
I would have liked to have gone last night but I'm on lates this week!

There was 3 cossie powered old skool fords at your middlesex meet last
month, don't remember you saying any of this then.
And FYI, old skool ford as a club have nothing to do with the ace meet
anymore.
Hope this sorts out any confusion, and there were some lovely saffs and
3 doors IN the car park last night so lets not be silly eh?
Puddy
Ps . genuinely thought you were a nice guy when I met you at the middx meet .

Just giving a bit of banter mate, as the slogan and exclusion bit I also took as banter but personally I would not use words of exclusion in any club that I was running eg: I would not say no mk1 capris or mk1 fiestas allowed round at Middx that's NOT that I picking out the capri or fiesta just that I used them as an example
You're right about the 3 classics there last month the two escorts belong to good mates of mine I was glad there were there and I have maximum respect for all the classics wether completely standard or modded to the max
Was good to meet and chat to you last month, your car is a lovely example didn't mean to offend hopefully see you on the 26th of this month
