for a tdci st mondeo,remaps over £400 and tuning box's £90 off the net saying 40 bhp gains.anybody had experience of these and do the actually return that high an increase? cheers,eddie

Them cheap tuning boxes are shit!!!and a good remap like what we do arent..simples

We do a remap for you with before and after reports on our dd rr and all for £300 and if your not happy we will remove map and not charge..

Tuning box's are engine killers. They lie to the engine and don't change the parametrs that have to be changed! a remap would change everything as it schould!

Boxes are a real minefield, some are "ok" overs are absolutely awfull and can destroy your engine. Get it done properly is my advice...

I had a tuining box on my mondeo and it was fine.

Saying that, I never had the car long term so do not know if any long term damage was done.

I was getting over 60 mpg as well.
