Porkie your clio camera footage is impressive for just 360p, you mind telling me what camera you were using and how you had it bolted up ? I tried in-car footage using a
Canon LEGRIA FS306 but it was all over the shop...

I was strolling around the place and spotted a group of peeps washing a little red thing down and though he was just cleaning it after it had got dirty.

Only found out and hour or so later that it had gone up in flames awEaw danny a few times during the day but I only twigged it was him when his car up up in the air and moonstone steves kids were offering to give him a hand fixing the exhaust

And I bought some bits for the mrs fiesta.

And I think I've also got to the bottom of the mysterious alarm mystery thanks to Paul.

had an absolutely excellent time, fiesta was great fun, if a little choppy out on track! need to improve the suspension and purchase some R888's now.
Really enjoyed getting it out of shape under braking for quarry!

Was there also on our club stand, but agree lots on show, but little track action and something missing from the atmosphere of the previous years...
All the traders seemed quiet also....and was Stigy about?????

Glad all enjoyed and that all misshaps were minor or soon and easily rectified - heres to another day of track action!

Overall I had a good day was a little gutted the gte developed a missfire the night before that we just could not track down. Managed to fix it for the afternoon by replacing everyhing on the ignition side of the engine except the ecu and loom lol.

Was really made up with the way the car handled for me it was all about handling this time at combe as the car was terrible before, once the missfire was found I went out for a session and managed to beat my pb by 2 seconds with a 1.20.66,

chip asked what the car had felt like and my reply was it's 100 times better than it was but the tyres felt a little hard to which they were

36psi in both fronts, 32 in drivers rear

and 90 psi yes 90

the 888's were only fitted the dAy before in a rush and it would seam my dad forgot to drop the pressure after he poped the bead on

Doh so managed a 1.20 With 90 psi in my most used rear tyre lol

But the stabilty of the car even with rediculas tyre pressures is miles better was able to do 119 throw folly , peaking 130 before getting onto the brakes.

Thanks to porkie for the ride was fun chasing chip and spiky down

Cant get my video to upload, but here are the still from the start and finish of my best lap of the day I can find from a quick flick through:

1:24

That was with Rob as passenger too, and he's a good 14 stone or so I guess.

Happy with that

Typically does more like 1:25-1:26 though on a clear lap, and on the laps messing around with porkie it was nearer to the 1:30 mark, my lines into quarry were terrible when paying more attention to him in my rearview than to the track, lol

When me si b were playing i was told we did a couple of 1.18s and later after we took two tons of stainless wool out of my side exits and down loaded my 616.5 hp map in i did a few 1.16s and that was with even more black lines being left everywhere on those shitty r888s...I reckon on full slicks i could easily knock another 3 secs of and would love to find out..

cheers danny

You should have contacted Castle Combe beforehand and you would have been able to use em !

I and the other MKII had slicks on all day

We had issues first session, ratty took it out again to see if all ok, then he gave a passenger ride, I took it out and then ratty went out, I went to queue again but too late.
It was our first shake down. We have an open pit lane day booked oct and I will be in it all day, not let him get a look in.
Had a great day, once it's sorted car will be awesome

I thought it was a shame there werent more people on the track, and more people at once would have been better to watch too.

If it wasnt for the non fords on track, there wouldnt have been any point having track sessions really, as there would have been only a handful of cars on track at once most of the time then.

there was tickets still for sale on the day, so there was no reason why any of the ford boys couldnt take up the offer of track

probably best to sell Half days to the ford boys, and i doubt they would last a full day on track

Well on the RS Combe website, they said all track passes are sold out, that was a couple of days before the event, so who knows?
