BMW M3 E46 convertable
I've not owned a Bimmer cab, but I have to say a yes to topless motoring. I don't think you can really appreciate it until you have been there and owned it. Top down in the sun, or even as Porkie said, in the winter. Epic fun. If you have something fruity its all about roof down, foot down through tunnels too.
Do feel like a hairdresser though... plus you can't listen to S-club 7 because everyone will laugh at you

Had one a few years ago superb car never missed a beat, i put a larini exhaust on it lowered it and some bbs alloys i thought it looked lovely.
exhaust was well worth the money.

I've had mine for 18 months now and done 6 track days with it and it's far from "SUPER boring".
Drive these things properly and they make you smile.
surprised to see it go so soon Dave, thought these cars were the bees knees etc...you had a very nice model Dave.
think the bmw is going back imo...but its your car mate.

go for it mate, was looking at 03-05/06 plates a couple of years back, black with black leather was hard to find.
found one that was right, told the wife...she said "thats nice,i'm pregnant again"
wife,2 kids and dog doesnt go
it wouldnt have been my daily as such but didnt want another hunk of metal sitting in the garage all the time like my cos.
anyway i'm wafflin(beer).

Dave , Looks like you deffo made the right choice breaking Yum then. As going from that to an evo to an even more comfortable soft top m3 speaks volumes about the sort of car you want .
A 700hp, stripped out, 200mph 20 year old money pit it aint.

I would prefer the m3 over a evo just because the evo could be a money pit if you got the tuning bug i.e forged engine ect chasing bhp. There isnt that much you can do to the m3's! they are just a every day car that go pretty well & can be exiting with the traction control off. Service them every roughly 12 thousand miles unlike a turbo'd car you will dump the oil every 3k.

Not a massive Ferrari fan, but think the 430 is gorgeous, and has one of the best sounding motors out there, would love to go in one.

i absolutely love e46 m3 converts, and to think im driving a Ł8.5k fiesta st as my everyday car, few more grand i could of bought my ideal m3, a estoril blue convert or imola red. But, its not about buying them, its about running them and as said the servicing costs. Someone that lives near me has just got one in a beautiful individual like deep ruby red colour. Wow. Need to get a better paid job me thinks. We've got a ferrari enzo at work for sale and its horrible seeing it everyday knowing i'll never be able to own anything like it lol.

I would rather have a convertable M3 than a hard top as I think they look better with the hood up.
I would NEVER put it down though
