thats what old knackers are about..jokes aside, personally i wouldnt bother. ive drove a mk4 with factory pas, and it wasnt even that light to be honest..parts are getting old now unless you get recon for a small fortune so chances are if you buy ford bits it wont be that great..i did see a set up on ebay a few years back for a mk3/4, and they had used a peugeot rack etc..not 100% sure which model..maybe that would be better if you want it light as the parts would possibly be newer and had less use
