Just thought i'd let you know that i went watching ian brown in manchester on friday and bumpred into mani (ex-stone roses) we had a beer with him and a chat....What a top guy and LEGEND! Got pic of me with him too. I'll try and get it on here..

there was talk in NME last year of them getting back together for a tour or doing some festival dates, but it was either brown or squires wouldnt do it.

seen ian brown at t in the park few years ago, came on stage and said he wasnt goin to play any ols stone roses shite then he broke it to waterfall, was a moment i dont think ill forget was quality

jammy bastard, top band the roses, and think Ian's forged a cracking solo career! think everything about that time was top, hacienda, factory records, the Mondays, just a shame i wasn't born till 86! grrrr and i know this will split opinions, but i think they did and STILL do make ALOT of other bands sound average, same with joy division and the likes, way ahead of their time, just wished me old man ain't bagged up earlier in his life!!

Top band, got an album in the car and Ian Browns greatest. Fools gold and Wanna Be adored is deffo top of the list for me.

I met Ian Brown in Jersey once, he was in the holiday apartment next to us with his wife and child, to be honest at the time i didnt know who he was, he said he was a singer but i thought a small band, nice bloke and was easy to get on with, but didnt know how famous he was until i got back and saw FEAR on top of the pops! i couldnt believe it!!
