Default daewoo matiz starter fault

anyone had any dealings with daewoo matiz starter motors engaging while driveing along? anyone know if its more likely to be down to a short in the starter loom or a starter realy fault?. I have herd its a comman fault i need to get to the bottom of it before i change the starter and ring gear

I've had very limited dealings with these, I do seem to remember a thread somewhere about the starter fault, and think it was concerning a loom wearing through and causing the issue, sorry can't be more help I hate the bloody things pita they are.

They are shit its not my car it belongs to my brothers birds mate i just dont wont to strip the loom out if someone can say yeah done loads its this lol i may just put a new starter loom in it!

happened a lot the last time i drove one, but that could have something to do with it being a hire car, and me turning the starter on the motorway
